Cody Hodgson

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Sabres forward Cody Hodgson. I had debated on getting a ticket to meet Coho but decided to after great production from him and also the fact that I realized he was a free agent this coming summer. Since the Sabres have a tendcy of letting good players go, I decided to head out and meet Cody just to play it safe since I hadn't met him yet. Great guy to meet and hope I get to meet him again because I'd love to get my Manitobia Moose AHL yearbook signed by him! I met him at the new Dave and Adam's Outlet Store which is connectected to their warehouse.

Tim Connolly

So my friend's sister plays hockey and recieved this card at her banquet. She didn't want it so he gave it to her brother. Her brother not being a hockey fan gave to me and I gladly accepted it into my autograph collection. It is the first card Connolly has signed for a company as stated on the back of the card.

John Scott

Last week  had the pleasure of meeting Sabres enforcer John Scott at Dave And Adam's Card World. He was very kind and signed this 8x10 for me. Hope to see him more on the ice the rest of this season.

Gary Bettman

The other day I recieved a signed picture from NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman. I sent this out over a year ago and barley remember sending it but still pretty cool to get it after the start of the shortened NHL season. Not a huge fan of him but his autograph still is a nice new addition.

Ilya Kovalchuk

My friend went to the hotel where the devils were staying before a game and got some signatures. I asked her to try and get me Brodeur and Kovalchuk. Marty was a shut out as expected but she still managed to get me a signed Kovalchuk card. Great peice of my collection.

Dale Hawerchuk

I had the pleasure of meeting the great Dale Hawerchuk at the Sabres Game when he was inducted into the Sabres Hall of Fame. He was very kind and signed these 4 cards for me. A night I'll never forget.

Thomas Vanek

At the start of Vanek's career, I wasn't all for him. But after his hot start this year, I'm starting to have more respect for him. I managed to build up my signed card collection him because my dad works at a furnaiture store and Thomas has stopped in there a few times. The bottom card, Glacial Graphs, came out of a pack and is f season. It was defentially a nice pull for anyone especially me as a Sabres fan.

Robyn Regehr

When I met Regehr, he seemed pretty overwhelled. It was his first practice as a Sabre and as a result, everybody wanted to meet him. To handle the situation, he would only sign 1 item per person, still a great signature, hope to meet him again.

Mark Mancari

Mancari was a great pleasure to meet, this was the only occassion I met him.

Tyler Ennis

Over the multiple occassions I've met Tyler Ennis, I've managed to have 6 Cards signed of "Ennis the Mennis"

CCM All-American Prospects Game

While attending the first ever CCM All-American Prospects Game at the First Niagara Center, I had pleanty of autograph opportunities following the game. Hockey Hall of Famer and former Sabre Phil Housley and Miracle on Ice legend and former Sabre Rob McClannahan were coaches for the game. I got 2 cards signed by McClannahan (Silver also says "Gold '80") and 3 cards signed by Housley. Also to sign my game program was Anthony Louis and Frank Vatrano.

Martin Brodeur

This is defiantly my new corner stone to my autograph collection. As I attended the annual Dave And Adam's Card World Black Friday Sale and entered their contest to win some cool prizes. When I received an email mid-December I thought for sure it was just the email giving me my free $10 gift card everyone got just for coming. Instead it was an email telling me I had won probably, if not, the best prize they were giving away. I couldn't believe I actually won the signed Brodeur jersey. I now own a piece of rich memorabilia of the future HHOFer and the goaltender who owns most of the goaltending records, which most appear unbreakable. It is now hanging on my wall in a nice display case away from light where I can see it every time I enter my room. An amazing piece to have in my collection. Brodeur just recently tied another NHL record the other night for most shut outs against a team.

Lou Lamoriello

Recentlly I aquirred a fan pack from the New Jersey Devils and it included a signed letter from long time GM Lou Lamoriello. With the Devils currently in the Cup finals, this is a huge score from the current GM!

Alex Biega Interview!

We recently did our first interview with our new partner Caitlin (The Puck Stops Here) (Check her blog here at: http://thepuckstopshere30.blogspot.ca/)  with Alex Biega! It turned out great! Here it is!

         1) Who did you look up to when you were younger?

My dad. Always working hard and never complaining. He raised four boys and Made so many sacrifices for us to succeed.
2) When you were drafted by the Buffalo Sabres, what were your emotions?
Was drafted in 2006 in the 5th round. It was one of the proudest and memorable moments to this day. Especially to be drafted by buffalo  having such rich history.
3) When you were excepted into Harvard, how did it feel?
I I was expected to hear by 2pm on a Friday I got in or not. I never received a phone call until 4pm, having someone tell me I was accepted. Just like the NHL draft, it was such a rewarding feeling for all the hard work and sacrifice that was made.
4) What is the greatest memory you've had as a hockey player?
Winning the Salisbury schools first ever New England championship. One of my brothers was on the team with me at the time which was great to share the experience with.
5) What was your favorite NHL team growing up?
Grew up in Montreal so hard not to say the Canadians
6) If you could meet any NHL player in the league (past and present), who would it be?
Would have to say Gordie Howe. Just a legend.
7)What did you major in while attending Harvard?
Sociology. Took a lot of different classes in different fields while I was there.
8) Do you know Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick considering you both attended Harvard?
I don't know him but seen him at Harvard once in the summer training for the off season. He is obviously a legend there and think he visits when he can make the trip.
9) What are your interests outside of hockey?
I'm a big movie guy and I try to learn to play the guitar from my room mate.
10) What do you like best about living/being in Rochester/Buffalo?
The fans. Avid fans who are so compassionate about their hockey.
11) Do you like any other sports besides hockey?
I played soccer all my life even in prep school. Love the sport and I can't say I don't get excited for the world cup!

         12) You attended Harvard the same time as New York Knick Jeremy Lin, did you know him? If so how well did you know him?

I took a class with him but didn't know him that we'll. The select few times we did hang out, he is a low key and quiet guy. Great person though.

We'd like to thank Mr. Biega for a great interview! Thanks Again Alex! Great pleasure working with you!
