Free Hockey Card Day in USA

This years set was another great set as I managed to get the whole set this weekend. The set was 16 cards which included: Evgeni Malkin of the Penguins, Alex Ovechkin of the Capitals, Ilya Kovalchuk of the Devils, Henrik Lundqvist of the Rangers, Anze Kopitar of the Kings, Zach Parise of the Wild, Jonathan Quick of the Kings, Patrick Kane of the Blackhawks, Dustin Brown of the Kings, Ryan Miller of the Sabres, Mike Modano of the Stars, Brett Hull of the Blues, Brian Leetch of the Rangers, Tim Thomas of the Bruins, Neal Broten of the North Stars, and a special edition Jonathan Quick with The Stanley Cup card. For free it is a great set. Can't wait until next years.

Scott Norwood

I managed to find a signed photo of the man who crashed all the dreams of the '91 Bills by kicking the feild goal wide right. Dave and Adam's was selling this signed Norwood picture and I decided to add it to my collection.

Ryan Fitzpatrick

I bought this signed photo of Fitz at the Dave and Adam'd Black Friday sale for only $10. Yes Fitz is bad but I still wanted it for my collection.

Steve Ott

As soon as the NHL annouced there would be a season this year, Dave and Adam's went right out and booked newest Sabre Steve Ott for a signing. He was a great pleasure and definetaly gave a great imppresion. He's a great follow on twitter too. Follow him @ottern9ne

Joel Skinner and Richard Dotson

While attending Buffalo Bisons vs Charlotte Knights baseball game, I met formor Yankees Joel Skinner and Richard Dotson. Both of them were part of the Knights coaching staff. They were both very kind and were the first New York Yankees I ever met.

Dan Prowse A.K.A. Darth Vader

Back when the Summit Park Mall was open, Omega Sports held a Star Wars party. The man who played Darth Vader, Dan Prowse was on hand for autographs. I was able to attend this party unexpectedily so I bought this card of Darth Vader at the event. He was very kind and we talked for quite awhile. Being a huge fan of Star Wars, I enjoyed this moment a lot.

Ilya Kovalchuk

My friend went to the hotel where the devils were staying before a game and got some signatures. I asked her to try and get me Brodeur and Kovalchuk. Marty was a shut out as expected but she still managed to get me a signed Kovalchuk card. Great peice of my collection.

Dale Hawerchuk

I had the pleasure of meeting the great Dale Hawerchuk at the Sabres Game when he was inducted into the Sabres Hall of Fame. He was very kind and signed these 4 cards for me. A night I'll never forget.

Thomas Vanek

At the start of Vanek's career, I wasn't all for him. But after his hot start this year, I'm starting to have more respect for him. I managed to build up my signed card collection him because my dad works at a furnaiture store and Thomas has stopped in there a few times. The bottom card, Glacial Graphs, came out of a pack and is f season. It was defentially a nice pull for anyone especially me as a Sabres fan.

Robyn Regehr

When I met Regehr, he seemed pretty overwhelled. It was his first practice as a Sabre and as a result, everybody wanted to meet him. To handle the situation, he would only sign 1 item per person, still a great signature, hope to meet him again.

Mark Mancari

Mancari was a great pleasure to meet, this was the only occassion I met him.

Tyler Ennis

Over the multiple occassions I've met Tyler Ennis, I've managed to have 6 Cards signed of "Ennis the Mennis"

Larry Playfair

Over the years I have met Sabres legend Larry Playfair multiple times. He has always been a pleasure and I always look forward to meeting him again.
